On my last evening in Custer State Park a few years back, my brother and I pulled over to the side of the road, rolled the windows down, watched the evening sun disappear and became engulfed by a heard of bison slowly grazing past us. In the distance we heard coyotes and elk bugling in the distance. It was a very memorable evening.
