FAQ

How long have you been working in Claybord Black?

Since the summer of 2006 when I attended an artist conference in Montana.  Part of our learning took us into the world of Claybord

and I fell in love with it!

What do you like to create in Claybord Black?

Anything with fur or feathers!  I love the life-like look I can get with the Claybord.  Fur can really look 3 dimensional.

How long have you been painting in oils?

I did some painting in high school (where I realized I really loved oils) and then majored in Art in college.  I have only been painting

seriously in oil for the last 2 years.

What are your favorite things to paint?

I love landscapes in sort of a loose realism style.  Jay Moore from Colorado is a landscape artist that I love to study when developing

my own painting techniques.  I also love wildlife.  Anything from birds to bears.  I like them all.  One of my favorite wildlife artists is

Terry Isaac from Oregon.  Although he paints in acrylic, I have really learned from him when it comes to the thought processes it

takes to put a wildlife painting together.

Do you do commission work?

Yes, in oil and claybord.  I no longer do commission work in pen and ink due to eye strain.
